Comments about HJC SY-Max 3 Modular Motorcycle Helmet:

My wife and I both like the flip shield and sun shade for ease of use on the go. Fit has always been good, but we use cummunication in the helmets and have to carve out part of foam to get the speakers in the ear pockets. Other that that it is a great helmet!

Comments about HJC SY-Max 3 Modular Motorcycle Helmet:

I am a long-distance rider (Iron Butt Association) so a typical use of the helmet for me is I put it on about 4am and it stays on until my 1000+ mile day is done. The Sy-Max-3 is a winner even with slightly smaller ear pockets than the Sy-Max-2. The removeable wicking liner eliminates the need for my headscarf. It seems a bit noisier than the 2 and as mentioned before the ear pockets seem smaller.

Comments about HJC SY-Max 3 Modular Motorcycle Helmet:

I have always relied on HJC for a quality helmet for the price. I bought a Symax 2 last year and the chin latch mechanism failed. Loved the helmet, disappointed by the safety concerns. Received a refund. I ordered a Symax 3 this spring as a replacement. The liner was nowhere near as comfortable, and it would become unsnapped from the helmet whenever I put it on. I considered this a huge distraction and thus a safety issue. HJC said they would fix it and it has been 6 weeks since I purchased it and still do not have a helmet! Not sure if I would purchase another HJC product after 2 bad ones in a row. You get what you pay for and I think I paid too much...
