Comments about Scorpion EXO 400 Solid Full Face Helmet:

This helmet is DOT and Snell approved. Fit well, is fairly comfortable to wear for longer rides, has many different pads and shields you can purchase, and looks great. I took a spill at 45MPH rolled about 10 times...the helmet did very well. My head was the only thing not harmed in the crash. The only thing bad about the helmet is that it's a little loud. If you want a good helmet and want to spend less that $100, this is you.

Comments about Scorpion EXO 400 Solid Full Face Helmet:

I have owned this helmet for 4 years and after 35,000 miles in I still love it. It is not the lightest helmet out there but due to balance and fit I have ridden many 1,000 mile days without hot-spots or neck fatigue that I have experienced with my old Arai. Great visual field and balance. Not the quietest helmet but well within reason. My biggest complaint is the lack of a lock mechanism to keep the visor opened for additional venting. I use a matchbook for this and it is a pain. I am going to replace this helmet with a Scorpion EXO 500 as the 500 has the lock and a inside drop down tinted visor without adding much, if any weight. I do not think any helmet comes close to the EXO 400 at this price point.

    Great Buy!

Comments about Scorpion EXO 400 Solid Full Face Helmet:

Overall one of the best helmets I've owned, some say it's a little on the heavy side, but once on, I've done 800 mile days and not been sore in the morning. I must say the venting leaves something to be lacking on hot days, but then again the air is forced under the chin and into your face, almost like having the face shield open. That's fine on warm days, but on cold days I'd recommend getting the chin insert that blocks airflow.

On the topic of cold days, hands down I absolutely love how in 40 degree weather I can breathe all I want and still not see anything resembling fog buildup on the inside of the helmet. On past lids I have not so fond memories of barely breathing and having to open up the face shield so I can de-fog whilst being blasted by cold air to the face. The only downside is that the inner coating of de-fogging chemical wears out after about 9 months, but by then there are enough dings and road wear that it's time to buy a new one anyway.

But one of the best things I like is the safety rating, being both DOT and Snell approved, for the price, there is no equal. While the face shield removal system isn't quite as quick as advertised, it still works smoothly.

    Service and delivery comments:

great prices, and very little hassle.

Thanks for writing in! There isn't much of a difference between the Scorpion EXO 400,700 and 1000 besides the style/color.
