Comments about Thor Force Belt:

Before buying a brace, consider your riding position first. This will help align you to a better position, but if you're doin it wrong, well you're doin it wrong. For a rocket, one of the most important things you can do for your back is to use the portion from your toes to just behind the balls of your feet on the pegs. I like just behind since I have long rides and it reduces the numbing effect. Going just a couple inches more where you're resting the arch of your foot on the pegs is gonna bite you in the end. It's amazing how much that 1inch will change things.

This does perform the function of a back support belt, and of course gives a decent amount of protection for the lower spine and kidneys. It is not comfortable to wear on your skin, but I don't think any back brace would be, just noting it. It does not explain how to wear it, and I've never worn anything like this before, so some guidance would have been helpful. Wearing it from what I've learned is proper doesn't exactly work out because the side straps lower portion sits on the upper hips when you have the back portion covering the upper area of your tail bone. Because it sits on the hips, moving around will cause it to ride up instantly putting it out of place, though it still serves it's purpose for protection, just the support aspect goes down. Also if you put it just a bit too tight, after sometimes even 10 minutes you will become very familiar with exactly where your kidneys are because it starts to compress them which hurts in a very bad internal way. This is probably expected with all back supports, but again, just noting. The venting I'm not so sure about, but I'm confident it works better than if it was solid.

All in all it serves it's purpose and with a little forethought, experimentation, and experience the brace is helpful and can quite possibly save your spine or organs. So, while I'm not happy with some aspects, I am grateful for others which gives this a 3 star rating.

Comments about Thor Force Belt:

I have always had lower back problems and this belt helps stop any discomfort while riding my sport bike. It is flexible but still provides very good support overall.
