Great for over shorts in Summer!
from Northeast Georgia
Comments about Joe Rocket Phoenix 3.0 Pants:
I'm a 33" waistline and 30" inseam, ordered the Large/Short and they work just right as over pants. The quality seems very good and they are comfortable with a pair of shorts under them in the heat of summer. A very good balance of mesh and heavy duty material in the right places. The knee and hip armor work well for me, really don't even notice it after a couple rides. For the price, I like em!

In the past I made do with jeans. I once came off a bike at 90mph onto the Interstate wearing jeans. I was 'lucky' to have also been wearing good boots, long underwear underneath the jeans, and a good leather jacket. Even so, I managed to sustain a nasty abrasion on the hip where the clothing 'rode up'... I purchased this product in concert with a 'Joe Rocket' jacket because I was looking for something that would offer protection if I happened to come off the bike, but not cause me to be in discomfort while riding - especially on hot summer days. I recently wore them on a ride from Indiana to Washington, D.C. with the 'Run For The Wall' vets/bikers. I found the pants to be just 'the ticket:' Good fit, comfortable, well made, and gave me the assurance that if I had to 'unload' I would come through it reasonably protected from abrasion. I wore them over light cargo pants one day and over shorts on the others, and found they worked excellently. Good Value!
About Me Career, Casual, Eclectic
I normally wear 42x30 pants, Ideally 41x29.5 would be prefect however youll never find those on the rack. I ordered the 42x30 and nearly a prefect fit. the knee proctection while walking around doesnt feel right however once on the bike they move right into place as they should. I would buy another pair without question. For a average to short (5'9") football player kinda of body only a tailored or custom would fit better. It was 90 the other day, I have a Harley Electra Glide and a few sport bikes plenty of ventilation and comfort. Being military Im required to wear long pants jacket and gloves as well as helmet at all times so staying Kool and being inside or above the rules was more important then a few other details such as color or how pretty I look in them. generally I dont look pretty in anything LOL
Great Summer Pants

My son bought these pants. I liked them so much I bought myself a pair. Great summer pants for hot & humid weather. Good protection for summer pants.
