Comments about Tour Master Venture Air Motorcycle Pants:
Just bought a second pair after first pair began to fade. Seven years of good wear. No complaints on the first pair. Second pair experience one trip and the belt loop ripped. When I inspected the material it looked too thin for the adjusting velcro waist belt. Everything else seems the same but I don't think I'll see seven years out of this pair.
Bottom Line No, I would not recommend this to a friend

1000 mile trip With Venture pants.

I wanted the protection these pants offer; just like my matching jacket. That makes me feel much better, in case of a fall. There is really only my concern of the length (according to my usual pants size) seems a bit long and the legs are a bit "Baggie". Otherwise; Extremely good rating.

All in all, great pants. If you're looking for pants that do it all, this is a very good 3 season pant - good for everything but the coldest riding. IF, you don't mind adding and removing the insulated and/or waterproof liner(s). I live in Hawaii and purchased these for protection with as much ventilation as possible. I will NEVER use the insulation, and even though it rains frequently, I'll probably never use the waterproof liner either - being wet just makes you cooler - never a bad thing here! So, for me, the pants are looser in the legs than I would like. (I have a 38" waist, 30" inseam) However, that is better than too tight. And if you have thick legs, you may appreciate that. I also suspect that if my waist measurement was closer to my inseam, it would be a much better fit. I bought the short size. Between that, and the ability to adjust the placement of the knee armor, the fit is very good. Everything sets where is should when you're in the saddle. Being as loose as they are, I'm a little worried the armor won't stay where it needs to be in an actual get-off. So I've decided just not to do any actual crashing - problem solved! There are a few nice details worth mentioning as well. One is the extra Velcro on the side-zip flaps. You can fold the flap in half and stick it to itself. That way, when you're putting them on/off, the "hooks" don't keep sticking to everything and working against you. More importantly for me, when you stop for a break and open the sides for some air, they don't keep sticking back together, or to every one or thing you pass by. Another thing I like is that they came in silver. Why all hot weather gear is black is beyond me!These pants are easy on, easy off, and well made. I expect to get plenty of use out of them.

Would be better with HD leg zipper
See all my reviews
Had a pair of Ventures for a few years now. After about 2-3 yrs, the leg zipper wont zip correctly. Have to fiddle with the first zipper and then bring the 2nd leg zipper down then back up to totally close the zipper. The zipper they use in the legs is NOT what I call a quality zipper. Should be a zipper like they use in the main zipper of the coat. Heavy duty. Not that waterproof style one they use in pockets. This is my 3rd Tourmaster outfit. Always liked my previous ones I've had. But if this is how they are going to skimp on quality, I'll be trying other brands or just spend the extra $$$ for an Aerostitch.
