I have been using this bag on a trip from Houston, TX to Washington state. It is exactly what you want as a combo luggage piece and backrest alternative. The only design shortfall is that it has no rain cover. For the hardcore or old school, this isn't a problem (you know how to fix it). Keep contents in waterproof containers/bags and you will be okay.
