Comments about Saddlemen Highwayman Slant-Style Motorcycle Saddlebags:
My location allows me to need only a motorcycle for transportation (no car/truck) year-round. My backpack holds a decent amount, but I needed a little more storage space for the occasional larger loads. I bought these bags on a whim from reading half promising suggestions from various forums with giving both yes and no answers if these bags will fit my particular motorcycle. I drive a 2005 Honda Shadow Areo 750 and went with the large size (wanted Jumbo). I did have to remove my back turn signals to make the bag fit in the appropriate place. The one thing I did not like is the tie down strings that come with the bags are basically medium quality shoelaces (minus the plastic cap). They were not long enough to secure the front side of the bags down (bought zip ties to replace) and just enough length to get the back side tied down (will replace with zip ties). Also on the outside of the bags facing the motorcycle side are not leather like the rest of the bag and did get scratched up from knocking into the side bolts while getting the bags on the motorcycle. You will need the recommended support brackets in the product description. If you do not get the supports the bags will sag into the wheel area.
Great bags for the money!

I first ordered the large size [...] but they turned out to be too large for my bike. I liked the bags so much that I returned them and got the medium size bags. Great craftsmanship! You can tell that these bags will last for years to come. Price was great as well!
