Comments about Shinko 712 Motorcycle Tire:

This tire is priced far less than some others, less than any other. Seems to have decent grip, smooth ride. I'm sure some of the more expensive tires grip better and run smoother, but for casual street use, I find this tire a great buy. I also put this same tire on my cafe racer, and it feels great on that, too.

        • Q:

I have a 1978 kawasaki KZ 650b2a that i just purchased and i am just a little confused on the tire sizes. My owners manual calls for 3.25h-19 4pr or ml90-19 b2 for the front. and 4.00h-18 4pr or mn90-18 b4 for the rear. I also need tubes. Are these old sizes or what.If they are, what are the new sizes that i need to fit the bike.P.S. They are spoke wheels. This is what is holding me back from ordering new tires. Thanks N.O.B

            A:

Thank you for your Question! Tire size 3.25X19 = 100/90X19 Front & 4.00X18= 110/100X18 Rear. What we did is convert your tire size in Inch to Metric.

i am thinking about buying a matching set of these for my nighthawk 250 bobber. I have stock spoked wheeles and tube tires now. I know these tires say "tubeless" but is it acceptable running tubes inside them and will i have a problem with them sealing on the rim? and if so what size tubes? 130 90 16rear 100 90 18 front. thanks

          • CUSTOMER CARE

            A:

thank you for the question! You can do it, all the manufacturers might say is to consider the speed range dropped by one level. Like a V should be considered an H - not good if you plan to ride around at 140 mph all day long, but no biggie for those of us who stay under 80 most of the time.
The big difference at this point between a tubeless and tube tire is a coating added within the tubeless tire as a sort of liner to absolutely seal the carcass. The tube type might actually be sealed, but it is not absolutely engineered to be sealed against air leakage.
