Q: Hello, I have a bike Honda Shadow 600. Currently has installed the rear sprocket with 42 teeth and the front sprocket with 15 teeth. I want a more speed. What is the recommendation that can make me regarding the combination of both sprockets. thanks Asked on 2/1/2013 by Max from Caracas, Venezuela Know the answer? Answer this question 1 answer A: Thanks for your question! Gearing changes can be tricky. For more top speed you would want to either go smaller on the rear sprocket or larger on the rear. Q: Is this a 525 sprocket? Asked on 1/3/2013 by Anonymous Know the answer? Answer this question 1 answer A: Thanks for the question. The pitch is determined by make & model. If your bike originally came with a 525 then thats what the sprocket will be unless otherwise noted...for example a "520 conversion." Answer this question 1 answer A: Thank you for your question. The front sprocket in a 14T is part number # 99859. The rear sprocket is unavailable thru Sunstar. JT Sprockets has a rear sprocket in a 56T part number # 37278. The chain will have to be very long the XL185S has a 112 links with the 15T/35T sprockets. Below is a link to a good D.I.D. chain: http://www.bikebandit.com/d-i-d-428-standard-motorcycle-chainYou may need to get the longest and shorten if needed with a chain breaker. Q: my 2003 yamaha ttr225 rear sprocket has 58 teeth. The website indicates that this sprocket fits my machine but it has fewer teeth when I counted them in the picture. Asked on 9/8/2012 by Steve from Scottsdale, AZ Know the answer? Answer this question 1 answer A: Thank you for your question. The picture is a sample image supplied by the manufacturer. The sprocket you order will have the number of teeth required for your model bike. Commonly the option is given to re-gear the bike, which allows you to fine tune the torque/top speed to your desire.
