Comments about TechNiche Hyperkewl Deluxe Sport Vest:
I purchased this vest to wear during a recent ride through the Outback in Australia. It certainly delivered on keeping me cool. Depending on how hot it is and what sort of gear you a wearing it under will greatly affect how long the cooling lasts. A quick soak is all it takes to keep it going. Overall the vest works very well. When not being worn it packs away nicely not taking up much space.
Bottom Line Yes, I would recommend this to a friend

This is a great vest to keep you cool...
from Williamsburg, VA
After riding in the hear with this vest, all I could think was why did I wait so long to get it. I love motorcycle gear and especially gear that can allow for more riding time. We are usually at the mercy of Mother Nature so I first started with heated gear last season and wow!... it was so worth the money. Summers in VA are hot and humid so this vest really performed perfectly. I did a lot of research on others cooling vests but for the money and what it is meant to do you just can't go wrong. I wore it over a t-shirt (UA-charged cotton) and then had a mesh jacket over the top. It really didn't soak my shirt like I thought it would..but it did keep me extra cool as I was riding. The difference is remarkable. Airflow is key but after wearing this I hung it up in the hot garage and checked it the next day...it was still cool to the touch. Now granted it wasn't exposed to warm air flow but still for it to remain cool for that long without simply evaportating is awesome. I do beleive the duration of cooling will also depend on how much water you ring out of it but trial and error will tell you what you need to do. If you ride out early when it is cool and you know it'll be hot as the day goes on ... just stuff it wet in a gallon zip lock bag and you're set. Overall it's definitely a great piece of equipment to have for riding in those hotter days. It will do it's job and you'll enjoy your ride that much more!At this time I still can't find anything that's "not great" about it... so I hope this helps you guys that might be on the fence about "cooling gear".
