The AMS SlingShot is the tire for mud runners everywhere.
-Designed as an aggressive mud tire, the SlingShot is also quite capable in all terrain, whether it be mud, snow, sand or a day of trail riding.
-The wide open tread design makes.
-The dimpled tread elements on the surface of each lug off better bite.
-massive reinforced lugs extend to the center line of the tire to smooth things out on the hard pack..but still keep clawing through when things get sloppy.
-Large shoulder lugs wrap the sidewall to provide extra side bite when things get really sick.
      -1.25 in. tread depth.

AMS Slingshot XT ATV Tires rears

Comments about AMS Slingshot XT ATV Tire:

I purchased two rears in size 27x11x12 to replace two ITP Blackwater XT 27x9x12s on the front of my 1999 Suzuki LTF500. I am retaining the 27x12x12 ITPs on the back as they are still in pretty decent condition. I'm putting rears up front because I want to run big tires on all 4 corners. I am also retaining my stock aluminum rims which are 7" wide on the front and 8.5" wide on the rear.
I am replacing the IPT XTs up front because for turning in any and practically all situations they don't grip enough. I do not like that the machine has a severe push to the extent that I have re-cambered the front end and added toe out. This fix has worked well but I want more.
The high void tread design of the ITP tire just isn't putting enough tread on the ground to give good turning ability.
Fitment of the new wider tire is good, just had to bend a couple corners of the skid plate in up front and cut a couple little bars out of the back of the fenders.
My first test was simple; Hard turns on a variety of surfaces at varying speeds to see how much if any the machine still pushes.
Second over-all steering control and maneuverability
Third Tractoring ability on a variety of surfaces.
I am happy to report all factors are vastly improved, lots more forward and side bite, definitely one of the best improvements i've made to the machine.
I really like the concept of running different tread patterns front and rear in order to get the optimum performance in all conditions.
