    brought old bike to life!

Comments about Avon AV46 Motorcycle Tire:

21 yr old FJ1200 - by far the best tires ever on this bike. Greatly improved handling over all other bias-ply tires I've tried & much better wear too on a bike notorious for being hard on tires.

    quick ship, fair prices

Comments about Avon AV46 Motorcycle Tire:

With the possible exception of reworking the front forks, switching to radial tires has been the best upgrade I've made to my 2004 Moto Guzzi Stone (currently running tubes designed for radial tires - I've got spoked wheels). I have this in a 140/80-17 matched to the AV55 in 110/80-18 at the front.

Most of my miles are touring/commuting, but I also hoon around the local curvy roads. These are great, they stick as far as I've got guts to lean (the rear gets used to the edges, the front has "chicken strips" on each side), and they are wearing extrememely well, with only modest center wear compared to the edges. I'm not sure of the mileage, but I think I'm over 10K on the set, with lots of life left (especially the front).

I don't know how much better tires could be. I plan on another set in the future.

Comments about Avon AV46 Motorcycle Tire:

I wanted to try something different. The Concours has very few tire choices available other than the Dunlops that come std on the bike. These handle great, and I'm hoping wear a little better. I am installing balance beads for the first time and hope they help too.
