Comments about Bridgestone Battlax BT016-Pro Hypersport Motorcycle Tire:

Have used the Battlax series on my '82 GS1100 for several years... this set went on a '99 Ducati 900SS.. Not disappointed with them! The Michelins I took off (on the bike when I bought it) were worn out so I cannot make a direct comparison, but I am very happy with the Bridgestones. They track well and react quickly and positively to steering input. They made the handling quick, but stable. Grip is excellent all the way from straight up to well leaned over (my chicken stripe is running about an inch front and rear). These things give a good deal of confidence when pushing the envelope on the street. They are very predictable.

They were also very easy to balance. The rear took no weights and the front only 1/2 oz.

My riding style is not extremely agressive, but I do like to crank it over when I get the chance.

I started with pressures of 32F and 34R and that seems to be pretty close to perfect for my bike and my style.

I may decide to soften the suspension settings one notch on compression damping to soften the ride a little bit.

They do want to be run in for about a hundred miles to start feeling really right.

I have not had them long enought to comment on wear. The wear on my Suzuki has been excellent, but they are a completely different compound.

In short, I am very pleased with these tires and would reccomend them to anyone who rides a sport bike for daily use. In fact I have already done so.

As ususal, Bandit's service was superb. Good prices, quick ship and delivery, no hassles...Just what I have come to expect from them. Give the boy an extra bone.

Comments about Bridgestone Battlax BT016-Pro Hypersport Motorcycle Tire:

I've been riding on the street for over 25 years. I bought my first sport bike back in 1988. Honda Hurricane 600, which came stock with dunlop K591. In early 90's when the first 900rr came out they came stock with the battlax. I was told by so many of my buddies what a great tire they are.
I bought my first battlax tire from Bikebandit. Since my rear tire (Metzler) is still in good shape I went with just the front. I really wish I had the cash to get both the front and the back because it's by far one of the better handeling tires on the market for street sport riding. The grip is very nice even after a fresh install. I ordered this tire monday after I got home from work, when I got home from work on Wed. that same week it was on my front porch. Bikebandit does a great job in processing and shipping. I've ordered other parts for my bike from bandit as well and they have yet to dissapoint in the shipping time. I highly recomend this tire and bikebandit. My local dealer (only 2 in a 300 mile radious) wanted almost $200.00 for this tire plus #40.00 for mount and balance. I took the wheel off my self and a local car shop mounts and balances motorcycle tires for $12.00. With bikebandits price I saved over half the price. There is no reason for shops to put that much overhead on tires especially in this economy.

Comments about Bridgestone Battlax BT016-Pro Hypersport Motorcycle Tire:

Nice tire at a really good price. Did 3 track days on this set. Back tire is toast, front has another session or two in her. I ride my bike hard and these are good tires once you get the pressures and temps right. This is a very stiff tire so you can play with the pressures even on the street. I run mine at 35/35 street, and 30/28 on the track. Ten times better than the OEM that came with the bike. The average user might not like them in the cold or rain. You need to get them warmed up before you really feel them stick. Still can't beat the price for a really adequate tire.

Thank you for your question. Unfortunately the tires will not fit your bike. You will need to search for narrower tires. The Bridgestone BT45 is the model tire the 250R is equipped with. Below is a link to the tire:

              A:

Thank you for your question. Unfortunately the BT016R is not available in the sizes needed for the GL1800. The Bridgestone BT-016R is a radial tire and doesn't have the load index required for the Honda GL1800. You may need to search for a bias ply or reinforced tire that meets that criteria.
