Looking for consistent performance between touring and sport riding? Bridgestone's BT-023 has a new tread pattern and rubber compound that delivers long mileage, a high level of wet performance, a comfortable ride and good grip. The rear tire's 3LC (Dual Compound) technology provides good stability and wear life in the center and strong grip and bump absorption in shoulder of tire. Silica plus RC polymer (assists silica effect and controls rubber properties) enhances wet performance and wear life.
Tire Comparison: This tire compares to the Dunlop Roadsmart, Michelin Pilot Road II, Pirelli Angel ST, Metzeler Z6 Roadtec

Comments about Bridgestone Battlax BT023 Motorcycle Tire:

I only have about 1000 miles on the tire (BT023) so far but it seems to be great, I expect no less from Bridgestone. I eagerly awaited the release of the BT023 after talking with Bridgestone directly about how the BT021 did not have the wet weather traction of the BT020. I'm an everyday Florida Rider, I own no cages and it rains down here frequently. The BT023 is to provide the wet weather (stunning) traction of the BT020 with the improved mileage offered by the BT021's (the BT020's are no slouch mileage wise either). If I find out that they've missed the mark I'll update my review but I'd bet against it. It won't take long as I use them on my 02 Kawasaki ZRX1200R (Great Bike!!!) daily. The reason I'm writing this report however is to give kudo's to Bike Bandit[...]They beat other advertised prices by as much as almost $100 for a company that was charging full retail[...]they'll never do business with me again. My Bike isn't a toy even though I love to Ride it, it's my wheels[...]

Comments about Bridgestone Battlax BT023 Motorcycle Tire:

i have a 09 bandit 1250s and the factory dunlap(excellent tire, but not for me)lasted 1400 miles.most of my riding is commuting but i do like to carve it up a bit.the bridgestone i put on only has a couple hundred miles on it so far, but had more thread on it than the dunlap did new, and seems to be wearing good so far.i would recommend this tire to someone looking to ride a sportbike more than race it.the tire has excellent wet traction and a good ride.i would also recommend bikebandit to supply you with your bike needs. i have dealt with them before and their prices [...] cannot be beat. thank you bikebandit!

Comments about Bridgestone Battlax BT023 Motorcycle Tire:

I put this tire on and then took a trip from Cleveland to Atlanta spending most of the week in the TN/NC border area on the Dragon's Tail and associated roads. I've put about 3,000 miles on this tire varying from scraping pegs to highway cruising and it has performed well. The tire wear is phenomenal so far. Based on what I've seen I expect to easily get 8K - 10K miles from it. Much better than the 3K I was getting on my Qualifiers.

Comments about Bridgestone Battlax BT023 Motorcycle Tire:

Put on a new set of these bridgstones and was very suprised at how much better they are than the last set of of the BT021's that I ran before changing to pirelli diablo strada's. I think the BT023 are even better than the pirelli's. The bridgstones are very good in the corners and grip good under hard braking as well. Also, I am suprised at how well the tires grip when crossing over a patch of loose gravel, or running a strech of dirt road for a bit, or hitting a curve that normally has some stones. I can be confident to still lean the bike, when other tires can feel like ridding on marbles. I havent had a chance to try them in really wet conditions yet, but I just clicked 1000 on them and I am impressed so far with the performance of these tires.

Thank you for your question. You can use tubeless tires with inner tubes. The tubeless tires will mount and balance just fine with an inner tube inside. Thanks for your question! We recommend running the tire pressure no more than what is listed on the tire. Unfortunately Bridgestone does not state what exact air pressure to run this tire at. Below is a link to the Bridgestone Safety use page for their tires to help further.

I have a 2002 Yamaha YZF 600. I need a new back tire but my front is still good for now. My bike currently has some Dunlop Tubeless Sportsmax Quadra tires, front and back. Is it ok to have a new Bridgestone Battlax BT023 for a rear tire and still roll with the front Dunlop I currently have on there?
