Comments about Bridgestone Spitfire S11 Raised White Letters Motorcycle Tire:

I bought these tires for my 1986 Honda Shadow 750 twin. These tires are amazing in all conditions. The two different tire compounds help with the wear of the tire. There is a softer compound around the sides of the tires for awesome traction in corners and harder compound in the centre to reduce wear on long trips. I put 6000km on these tires last year and they still look brand new. My old Dunlop's would have been completely bald if I went back with them. If you want a great tire that will last you a while buy these tires!!

Comments about Bridgestone Spitfire S11 Raised White Letters Motorcycle Tire:

Many years ago I had this exact tire on my old Goldwing and was very pleaed with it. Got 18K miles out of it, traction was good, and the tire stayed round. I've been buying Bridgestones ever since. I recently purchased this tire for my PC800. I am very disatisfied with this tire. Not sure what changed, but the handling felt in secure. Traction was terrible. If you know anything about the PC, you know that it is not a powerful bike, but riding in the rain, I had to feather the throttle or the tire would spin. Even after the tire was broken in, it was still dangerous in the rain. What is even crazier if the fact that such a poor traction tire wore out in about 7K miles. This tire has caused me to completely loose faith in Bridgstone as a viable tire company. That is saying a lot, when you consider I have been buying Bridgstone for my cars and my bikes for over 25 years.

            • Q:

I have a 1982 KZ1000LTD. I recently installed a Spitfire tire on the rear of the bike and now want to replace the front tire. The existing tire is a 3.25H19, and I was told I need a 110/90-19. I see you have a 100/90-19 Spitfire with raised white letters. Can you tell me if this is a close enough match?

              Any help appreciated!

will the 100/90-19 fit my bike, I currently have a 110/90-19 as the front and 130/90-16 as the rear? how much of a differnce will there be in ride and size?

                A:

Thanks for your question! The difference would be about 10MM total in width. You may feel the bike turn easier since the wheel is more narrow.
