OE fitment for Honda XL80S and XL500S. Designed primarily for dual sport use, this long-wearing, 4-ply front/rear combination tire has self-cleaning tread blocks that still give a traction edge for muddy and loose terrains. Special dimpled tread pattern means many edges, which helps maximize traction. Unique front/rear combination provides balanced highway and off-road performance.

Comments about Bridgestone Trail Wing TW9 Motorcycle Tire:

There are no other choices in this size tire, that I could find. It seems to do ok though. It goes down the road & corners well. Between 75 & 85 mph the bike gets pretty wiggly & light, but that just may be the bike. It's a 1980 Honda XL500S. Seemed good off road, but the other tire was wore out & we have nothing to compare it to.
The tire was very hard to put on, that may be normal, since I haven't done one since the 70's. I had all the right tire equipment to; Powder, Soap, 3Pc Tire iron kit.

My new tires.

Comments about Bridgestone Trail Wing TW9 Motorcycle Tire:

Found the tires for my dual sport with Bike Bandit. They had the original tires the bike was manufactured with and at a price that was way reasonable. Ship time was three days, so I had my new tires before the upcoming weekend and had them installed by our local dealership. I've since put 200 miles on them and all is as it should be back to bik'en..... Thanks Bike Bandit I would recommend your services to all my bike buddys!!!!!!!

  • Q:

I have a 1978 Honda XL250S with the fairly unique 23" front wheel. I think that the Bridgestone TW9 is a match for this cycle, but want to check if my sources are correct. Does the TW9 fit the 78 front wheel?

      A:

Thank you for your question. Yes your sources are correct. The TW9 tire is a 3.00x 23. The only tire in a 23" size. The part number is # 41967. Please let us know if there is anything else we can do for you by contacting us by email at Sales@bikebandit.com, Live Chat or by phone toll free at 888-339-3888. We are more than happy to help.

  • Q:

This looks like the correct size tire to replaced on my 03 xr80r which has on it a 2.50 - 16 tire. Bridgestone Trail Wind TW9 part # 42049.

Could you confirm this will fit my application and I need to know which tube size to order as I see 3 different size choices for 16 rims for Bridgestone tubes? I have never ordered a tube or tire before thanks.

Thank you for your question. The 2.50 - 16 is the correct size for your machine. You will need to choose a tube of that same size 2.50-16. If your having trouble , please contact our sales team.
