Comments about Dunlop D417 Motorcycle Tire:

This tire now needs replaced at 15,000 miles. It goes on my Victory Vegas 8-Ball. I would have replaced the rear tire on my 1999 Sportster twice by now. This is the original tire that I'm replacing. If it ain't broke don't fix it! D417 is the one for me.

  • Q:

The tire on the bike now is a 160/80R-16 is this a radial tire
Asked on 5/7/2013 by Blackboy from Columbus Ohio

Thanks for your question! The itre size you have listed is a radial designated by the "R" in the size. The Dunlop D417 we have listed is a Bias Ply tire. If you need further assistance please give us a call 1-888-339-3888.

    2003 Heritage tire size question

My 2003 Heritage came with a D401 rear tire at 150MM. What is the largest rear tire I can mount on my bike? I read people putting 160MM tires on theirs but don't know if there are rubbing issues with the 160MM. Can you advise?

What are the size differences between the D417 and the Elite 3 (160MM)?
    Asked on 8/18/2009 by Marko

Thanks for your question Marko! When your going to this new sizing this is going to be 10 mm wider on the tire, you would need to measure your clearances to make sure you have enough room to run this new sizing. The only difference between these tires will be the actual tread pattern.
