Comments about Dunlop K555 Motorcycle Tire:

Having raced motocross for Yamaha, I am familiar with Dunlop tires, as I raced with the k495 series tires. So I had high expectations when I replaced the generic tire that the previous owner had put on my Magna 750 with the K555. Dunlop met them and more! It's nice to go into a hard lean, and know that your bike is still going to be under you afterwards! The traction is there, and the tire is predictable even in wet weather. It grips through hard braking, hard lean curves, and even when you have to get the front end up over bottomless potholes! Getting back to basics is sure a nice place to get to, when this tire is the basics! Of course, when BikeBandit can deliver with the speed and service that they somehow manage to pull off time after time, you have to make stuff up to complain about. Don't know how you do it guys, but this is the stuff that will keep me coming back, every time I need something! Thanks again.

        • Q:

Bought a '00 Honda Shadow ACE last year. Has a Dunlop K555F tire on the front. What does the "F" signify? Honda recomends a 170/90/17 and this model's closest size is 170/80/17 --- no problem there, right? Back tire is a Pirelli --- Would you suggest matching the Front and Rear tires, as a set (i.e. TWO K555's)? Note: Front tire is wearing low but Rear still has a lot of tread life, at this point... Thanks.

            A:

Thank you for your question . They do not make the k555f any longer so we cannot get any information on them . The size indicates it will be a slightly shorter tire . Please select the article tab and read the link in there How to Read a Motorcycle Tire . It is very helpful. You do not always have to have matching tires , that is mostly cosmetic.

            A:

Thanks for your question! With the H speed rating that is going to be good for up to 130 mph, when they do the speed test they run the tire at speeds over 130 mph for an hour and a half straight.
