Duro HF 904 50/50 Dual Sport Tires

Comments about Duro HF904 Median Motorcycle Tire:

I lucked onto the Duro tires after buying a used KLR 650 with a set already mounted. They were very low mileage, but had a bit of age on them after the bike sat in a barn for several months. The rear tire was slightly weather cracked at the knobs, but otherwise looked great. Front looked like new. I had planned to replace them after an upcoming trip to Big Bend with a more aggressive dual sport tread pattern. I became sold on the tires as we railed the twisties and carved our way through sharp rocks and deep sand. We were spared mud of past such trips, so I can't speak with authority about their capability there, but they were fantastic everywhere else. I was throttle happy most of the time since I considered the tires throw aways and the rear chunked a bit in the sharp rocks as most tires would under such abuse. I just ordered a replacement for the rear and I am sticking with the Duros. They are simply the best handling, honest dual sport tire I have experienced and they seem to last better than most. And, they're a bargain.

Duro HF904

Comments about Duro HF904 Median Motorcycle Tire:

I've gone through two sets of these and am ordering my third set. They are great tires for true dual sport riding, good grip and ride on pavement, good traction on dirt, grass, sand and gravel, fair in the mud, very good mileage too. They are perfect for riders like me, who ride 50 miles on pavement to get to their favorite off-road trails, then back 50 miles home again on weekends, then ride to and from work during the week.

Comments about Duro HF904 Median Motorcycle Tire:

I needed a rear tire fast, and I wanted a good dual sport tread. I like the fact that this tire fit my Honda 450 Nighthawk perfectly, and the price was right. I have yet to take it on a gravel or dirt road for a long distance, but plan on it in the future as I like to go up into the mountains once in awhile. I do live on a gravel road up to my house, and I can tell you there is zero slippage. And it is a good looking tire also. Oh yeah, shipping was super quick!

Comments about Duro HF904 Median Motorcycle Tire:

I needed a rear tire Fast! And in 3 days I had it mounted and was on my way. The Duro HF904 Median Motorcycle Tire is quit, smooth and wears well. Trail riding it held up in dry weather, I havent tried in in mud yet! Bang for my buck is OUTSTANDING! Next up is the Front!

According to another site with actual load information posted, the load rating for this tire (67) is 675 lbs at 36 psi. You would need to check your weight distribution at each wheel to insure you are not overloading the tire.

        A:

Thanks for your question! This would not be suitable for your machine. The load rating would not be high enough. We recommend you check the owners manual for what the suggested weight rating you are needing on this machine.

This product says it can handle the power of big twins, what about weight? I want to put it on my 81 HD sportster that sees a lot of dirt roads. Any problems?

        A:

Thanks fro your question! Unfortunately the information you have provided does not tell us how much weight you would be carrying. We would need to know a weight of which you would be running or if you can supply us with the stock load rating from the tire that came on the machine we are more than happy to find a match.
