Specially designed compound increases durability in rocky or desert conditions by reducing chipping and cutting. Tall knob design improves traction when racing in sandy conditions. Stiffer carcass design minimizes flex, reducing the chance of a pinched tube.

The ONLY Tire
from Rocky Mountains
Comments about Maxxis Maxxcross Desert-IT M7304D Motorcycle Tire:
I have an XR650R that I ride a lot of trail with. Everything from Colorado mountain single track to slick rock in Utah. I have used Maxxis for years and consider it the ONLY tire for me. I have not had another tire that holds the trail like this one. I run Maxxis both front and rear. This tire also handles great at high speeds on 'flat-out' roads. BikeBandit is the best place to purchase this tire and most of my other needs. Fast delivery and great prices.
Bottom Line Yes, I would recommend this to a friend

Best overall tire I've used
from San Diego

This tire has lasted twice as long as any other tire I've had on my bike. Many trips out to the local desert and many trips to Baja with a lot of pavement and many different terrains.

This is one of the best tires I have used to date.I have used many tires from all the top Manufactures.I was skeptical about these tires. Not really sure if they would hold up as well.Boy...Was I surprised.I have them on an XR430R. Riding in the Mohave Desert, (Randsburg area).First impressions were they were really loose feeling. Not to stable feeling going into a wash. I wasn't too sure what they were going to do.Stick them in a turn, & it's a point & shoot tire.Very stable, Very reliable, Very strong cornering tire! They are a very confidence inspiring tire.It will up your cornering speed quite a bit, in all terrain, rocks, gravel, hard pack, you name it.The tires are rock solid on hard pack.Only in loose rocky sandy desert soil do they wander around a bit.But only when you're riding upright. Lean it over & it sticks like glue.At one point, I felt as if I was riding a Motard on tarmac. Also, if desired, you can throw it sideways in a corner all you want. They are very predictable and controlled. No worries!Tire chunking is also a minimum to non existent. They seem to have one of the best tire lives so far.The more you ride the better they get.I highly recommend both the front & rear tires for any machine. If you haven't tried them, you haven't really ridden. Go get a set!I rated these tires at 4 stars. Just because... Nothing's perfect. LOL
I've been riding the Maxxis IT tires for about five years. The new desert IT is an even better tire for sandy, rocky, and high speed riding. Great tire. High quality.
