Metzeler Lasertec OEM Replacement Motorcycle Tire. Tread pattern design provides excellent water drainage that reduces hydroplaning, enhancing wet performance for safe riding in all weather conditions. Special compounds ensure higher braking performance on both wet & dry surfaces. Classic tread pattern is designed to prevent irregular wear and cupping. Multiple-Radius Contour Design is tuned specifically for the bias-tire touring segment and provides radial-type handling. The high silica content of the new compounds helps provide outstanding grip in all weather conditions and reduces rolling resistance to improve mileage. H-rated for speeds up to 130 mph or V-rated for 149 mph.

Comments about Metzeler Lasertec OEM Replacement Motorcycle Tire:

When I bought my 1990 Kawasaki Concours from a nice guy 2 years ago, these tires were on it. 2 years and some 15,000 miles later I realize I hadn't had to replace the tires yet!

Checking the rear closely I can see I'm a bit overdue, but I can say with confidence I am expressly impressed by the performance of these tires. They've never slipped beneath me, never hydroplaned despite riding in heavy rainstorms and corner like I'd expect something far more costly to. I still can't get over the mileage they've run through!

I'll be having a new rear of this make and model put on tomorrow. I think I'm sold for life!

What is the difference between the OEM and the Lasertech tire. Would either tire be OK for my BMW R100RT???

        A:

Thanks for your question! These tires will be the same tire. Because Metzeler lists the OEM model separately in their catalog we have listed them in two separate lists as well. The same sizes and ratings for the OEM tires will be included with the regular Lasertec tire listing.

Thanks for your question. That first tire is made specifically for the Triumph speedmaster. The other tire is made for all other applications.
