Metzeler’s value-priced, championship-winning dirt tires have excellent durability, handling, and traction. This tire is designed to excel in soft to medium-hard conditions with a self-cleaning knob design. The aggressive center knob pattern delivers excellent straight-line traction and braking. Low-weight / high-strength carcass for stability, bump absorption, and puncture resistance. Offset side knobs for increased cornering traction. Puts the power to the ground for great holeshots, straights, and solid cornering. DOT-approved.

Comments about Metzeler MC 4 Motorcycle Tire:

Metzeler used to be THE tire for serious racing and weren't ever "value priced". Talked to an old racing bud recently and he said after trying a pile of different tires he was back on Metz's for trails and adventures, so I had a look.
I'm currently on a built XR250R, fire roading, logging roads, grass tracks and mtn. trails. That's everything from hard pack with rocks to snotty single track with a few mud holes and logs too.
I chose the MC4 because the spec's said it was wide for a 100/100, a little short and under 10lbs! It works pretty good everywhere for me, stick it, drag it, spin it, very predictable and controllable, wear is good and it's reversible. Also, pretty stiff side walls and no rolling/folding in high speed turns, even @ 11psi with a standard tube.

      Thanks for your question.

80 is the width and 100 is the aspect ratio of the tire.
