Not what I had hoped for
from Rossville, IN
Comments about Metzeler ME 880 Marathon OE Replacement Motorcycle Tire:
Got these tires for my VTX 1300C because I didn't want the stiff ride the OEM's gave, boy was I disappointed. The front tire is cupping (yes I check pressure all the time) and the rear looks like it has over 10k miles, after less than 5k. They also make a lot of noise when leaning into a corner. Won't be getting these ever again. Looking at something in another brand now. Metzler didn't offer any answers other than "you have to check your pressure alot".
Bottom Line No, I would not recommend this to a friend

I put a 260 on the rear and this 130 on the front. It had Dunlops from factory. This tire tracks better, is smoother, and eliminates worry on wet pavement. You never know when the weather might catch you with in a down pour. Not much worse than cornering and waiting for the tire to slide. This lets you corner as if it was dry, well almost.
Bottom Line Yes, I would recommend this to a friend

Cornering and Leaning Made Easy!!!

This was my first experience buying replacement tires, and with BikeBandit. So far both have been very positive! These Metzlers have been given high praise by my mechanic so I decided to try them on my Suzuki C109R. Obviously tires are probably the most important equipment on a motorcycle, and these tires are a perfect match for those who want a safe good riding tire that can still perform at high speeds in the twisties. I actually have a hard time getting the maximum lean on my 240/50R16 because it adheres to the road so well! Hopefully they will have a good tread life, otherwise so far so good!!
