Comments about Metzeler ME 880 Marathon Reinforced Motorcycle Tire:

I want to see Metzeler step up to the plate and produce a dual compound Rear tire. I ride an 04 Road King. I get about 6000 miles on a Rear and 15,000 on a front. Thats cool but I want 10,000 on the rear.

So follow Dunlop's contract with the Fl's Remodle.

          Biggest complaint is tire ware.

Comments about Metzeler ME 880 Marathon Reinforced Motorcycle Tire:

This tire rides well, installs normally, and will corner well. I have pavement scratched my pipes on my night train while aggressivly riding. The tread has a good look to it and works well enough when run in the rain. It isn't a full on rain tire but will get you by. The grip is so fun I put up with the wear as I generally get only about four thousand miles out of one but again I run hard most of the time on canyon roads.

          • Q:

What are the differences between this tire model and the regular
Metzeler ME 880 Marathon? The reason I asked was that this model has the rear 130/90/16 available. The regular Metzeler ME 880 Marathon doens't have this size listed for rear.

My bike is 1985 honda shadow VT500.

            Thanks.

              Thanks for your question.

ME 880 can be used with or without tubes. If you have spoked rims you will need to put a tube in it.
You can only use these as front or rear and it will state which is which when you select your tire size.
