Are the sidewalls of this product as strong as or better than the original touring equipment tires Harley Davidson Dunlop 402 has?
Asked on 10/28/2013 by Joe from Kingman AZ.
Thank you for your question. The tires have the same load index, yes the tires can handle the same types of loads. This tire is a "high Mileage" tire. What kind of mileage should they last? My Dunlop D402 - MU85B16 are only lasting about 5,000 miles. (2007 FLHTCUSE2). Previously on my 1984 and 1991 Electra Glides Ultra Classics I got 10,000 miles on the rear tires. I don't beat my bikes but I don't baby them either. I do push them (cornering, high speeds on the highways, - no burnouts!).
What should I expect out of this metzeler tire?
Asked on 10/15/2013 by Jeff - riding 46 years from Perkiomenville, Pa 18074
Thank you for your question! Unfortunately there is no set mileage for any motorcycle tire but we do know we have had customers as well as employees that have used this tire tell us they are getting mileage ranging from 8,000-up words of 15,000 miles out of these tires (Rear). Many factors can vary the life of motorcycles so there is no guarantee on mileage unfortunately. After many uses though we find the Metzeler ME880 to be a pretty consistant tire when it comes to extended mileage. Please let us know if there is anything else we can assist you with.

Can these tubeless tires be mounted on tubetype (with tubes) rims?
Asked on 5/14/2013 by Sir David Hawkins
Thanks for your question! Yes they sure can. Tubeless only means the tire will hold air without a tube as well. Please let us know if there is anything else we can assist you with.
