Comments about Metzeler Tourance EXP Motorcycle Tire:

These Metzeler Tourance EXP motorcycle tires came stock on my new 2011 BMW R 1220 GS Adventure. I mainly ride dirt and had intended to take them off immediately, but I had a few street rides on the schedule so I decided to leave them on for a while. I have about 2,000 miles on these tires and they have done well so far. I can scrape a peg in the corners if I am feeling adventurous on my adventure and they are rock solid in the process. I can compare them with the Perelli Scorpions which I had on my previous GS for a track day and would put them about equal. I think the Metzelers take a bit longer to get up to temp compared to the Perelli tires, but the dif is minimal. For street motorcycle riding with a bit of dirt road mixed in these tires are great.

Second one. Switched from Michelin Anakee. Better tread life. Good price, great service. Got the tire in less than a week. Amazing.

Comments about Metzeler Tourance EXP Motorcycle Tire:

I have worn out two tourance rear tires so far over 25,000 miles, and was pleased with their performance, thought I would try the EXP's out this time, the propaganda says the revised tread patern is supose to have better performance on wet and dry roads, I have only had them on for a couple hundred miles so far but they seem to have good feel on the road with My 2002 Tiger 955, I don't trail ride, but I do ride a few gravel roads from time to time.

Thanks for your question! The Metzeler Tourance EXP will be more street oriented at 95% street, 5% off road. The standard Tourance will be rated at 85% street, and 15% off road.
