Comments about Michelin T63 Motorcycle Tire:
Very pleased with these tires for the price. Put over 400 miles on my set so far for my KLR 650. Grip great on the pavement and off road. Handle exceptionally well on gravel too. Have not been through any mud nor do I plan to.Only downfall which is not too big a deal to me is the road noise on pavement. It can get a bit annoying on a long road trip at higher speeds.Other than that I do plan on purchasing these tires again so long as the mileage is acceptable.Already recommended to my dad for his bike.
Bottom Line Yes, I would recommend this to a friend

Definitely a GREAT tire off road. I have had it in the deep mud and it made me look like I know how to ride.Only draw back is noise and vibration on the pavement. But then again, I ride a Thump-er....what do you want?

Great performance to price ratio

This is a great choice for this category of dual sport tire. If you run a more agressive tread pattern, you expect about 4500 miles or less, and to sacrifice some street performance as well. I usually run the TKC80. That tire performs better on road than the T63, while the T63 out shines the TKC in the slop.On the road, the rear will walk a bit in a hard turn, predictable and not too scary. Watch out for hard breaking in wet conditions, same with TKC80. Keep inflated to max pressure, if you brake hard, to avoid cupping.Off road, this things stick. I feel like all I have to do is aim and apply throttle, even with full pressure. These cake up less than the TKC80, allowing better grip in the nasty. Watch out for large sharp rocks, thin carcass.
Better than expected

I ride an 08 KLR 650 with the majority of my riding on the street. However, I am about to drive across country with the bike trailered so that I can explore backcountry roads and single tracks. I chose the T63 because of its more aggressive tread design than my previous excellent street oriented Michelin Anakees. I was worrried about excessive vibration on the highway. Not the case with these tires. Plus I just tested them on muddy, hilly, leafy wet trails and they performed above my expectations. Very pleased and would recommend for dual sport riders who ride 75% trail.
