Comments about Pirelli Diablo Rosso Corsa Motorcycle Tire:
I mostly ride highway and in the canyons, I'm sure I should use a cheaper tire for what I do but I love, love, love the feedback and confidence these ties offer.
Bottom Line Yes, I would recommend this to a friend

I ordered a set of pirelli diablos for my 2010 cbr1000rr when it had about 2500 miles on it and the back tire was shot. Front tire still had meat but lots of people don't seem to like bridgestones so I thought of it as an upgrade switching to the pirellis. They have great grip I'm no racer but sometimes I scrape peg and I feel very comfortable with the diablos. I've only had the rear end lose grip in first gear going around sharp turns(what tire wouldn't). Now about 3k miles later I got my 2nd back tire and the front still has plenty of life. longer tire life would be better but oh well live fast and die young. I'll probably try something a little cheaper next set and see if I notice a big difference and switch back to the pirellis. Overall definitely a smooth rolling, very grippy tire!!
Rosso corsa are fantastic tires. These are OEM on my 13' Triumph Street Triple R and they give a super confident feel that keeps asking for more abuse. They show wear quick in the center if you drive in straight lines so no cruising long distances without occasional weaves. Its not a touring tire so you need to change them 50% sooner than the Angels and could be expensive to some. Manufactures can't make a sticky long lasting tire. I drive weavy roads to round off and keep the center wear minimal. If you only drive back and forth from work occational mountain rip then lesser tires will be more than fine. I used them for 7600kms 4600miles and the rear tire center has aprox 2-3 tenths before wear indicator or 600miles maybe remaining. The front 3-4000kms more but shows signs of cupping to left and right of center. It is a very soft compound tire almost like a racing slick but the dual compound helps it last longer and it sticks like crazy even more in deep lean, a perfect track or cold weather tire; 10 in dry, 10 in cold, 8 in heavy wet, very responsive active handling feel on the street, over uneven surfaces and lots of warning when riding on some sand slips. Didn't get track time for me on this set or peel outs. I tried slide burns but they stick too much to break loose like dunlops I had on a past bike. Just a few wheelies, hard speeds runs, usual normal scrap pegs fun things.:)Under most conditions except some lean hydroplaning in hard rain they stick extremely well as soon as you start riding it warms up in 2 minutes and stays warm (4 min in near freezing weather) then ready to lean and have lots of fun.
Diabolos are it!!!
What can I say. If you want to ride on tires that you can have the all the confidence in the world every time you lean into curve, these are the only tires.
