Great jacket, poor execution

Comments about Tour Master Transition Series 2 Motorcycle Jacket:
I really liked the versatility of the Transition jacket. It's warm when closed up, tons of airflow (almost too much) when it gets warm out. There are lots of useable pockets. Unfortunately, I only wore it for a couple weeks, maybe 10 times, before the bottom of the pocket tore open. Tour Master won't simply exchange it because it is "used" despite the fact that the jacket is clearly defective. The Hein Gericke jacket I wore for 10 years doesn't have holes in the pockets and I put the same things in them. Buy something else, preferably from a company that stands behind its products.

Tour Master Transition Series 2 Jacket
By Jim

I am new to biking and preparing to take the safety course and needed to be outfitted properly for it.After asking lots of questions and looking extensively on the web I found the Tour Master Transition 2.I was very impressed with the high number of positive consumer reviews and decided to order a black one for myself. The staff in the customer service order department were very helpful and actually arranged to ship it to a UPS pick up location as we were travelling on vacation at the time. The jacket arrived as on the day expected and all I could say was "outstanding".I am 6 feet, 245 lb. and ordered the XXL.The sizing was bang on. I have large forearms and with the liner in the sleeves fit snug, and with the liner out it fits perfect.Very impressed with the number of pockets, vents, the styling is great, and the 3/4 length is exactly what I wanted.Based on other jackets I see in the stores, this jacket is also very well priced.I will followup later with a review after I start wearing it for a while, but at this point, and from a newbies perspective, this a great jacket and I am hoping to get many years of use from it.

Just received this jacket in red and it looks and fits great. This is only a size review since I've just received it and only ridden with it once. The size chart said I needed a XL based on the measurements and suit size. I'm 6', 190 lbs. and wear a 46 suit coat . I wear a XL shirt, jacket, sweatshirt, etc. Sleeve length is 27" from point of shoulder to cuff and 47" chest. I tried a Tourmaster Air Intake in a store and a XL was too small. I could get it on but it was too tight with the linings in. With all the linings out it was a good to snug fit. I figured the Transition would be the same and I was right. The 2XL allows the cuffs to stay all the way to my hands while riding. The shoulders and torso lengths are great. All the zippers work well and Velcro is positioned nicely. Overall a very nice looking and fitting jacket for me. Hopes this helps.
