Comments about Tour Master Transition Series 3 Motorcycle Jacket:

Large fits well - 5'9" 185lbs. Nice looking jacket. Had only 2 weeks, morning ride to work 30-40 degrees. Nice and warm with liner in. Neck closure is a little low. Back armor just a pad, shoulder and elbow armor is decent. Elbow armor feels secure, like it will actually cover the elbow and stay in place. Excellent reflective area on all sides. I am happy with this jacket.

The jackets are great for rides, whether it be cool or warm. The many pockets and vents make the rides very enjoyable and comfortable. We are glad we able to find the jackets at a reasonable price and get them quickly. We bought a matching pair, his and hers.

Comments about Tour Master Transition Series 3 Motorcycle Jacket:

The jacket materials seem very functional and protective. I like the hi-vis yellow, good for safety, and somewhat stylish. The elbow and shoulder armor stay nicely in place. However, this jacket seems heavy (little over 4 lbs), even with the quilted liner removed. My old Gortex enduro jacket was about 2 lbs, but lacked armor, extra venting, and modern abrasion-resistant materials. Although the collar lining is comfortably soft, the height of the collar is very low and exposes your throat to cold air. Also, the collar fits loosely and cannot be snugged with the velcro closing, making you vulnerable to cold air and rain slipping down your neck.

The venting system is excellent. You can really feel the air when all the vents are open and you are moving at least 10 mph. The jacket seals up nicely against wind when the vents are closed, except for the collar area. I have not used it in the rain yet and have not ridden when temperatures are in the 30-45 F range. I think it can be comfortable at 40 F and above.

          • CUSTOMER CARE

            A:

Thank you for your question. The Transitions jacket is made for cold weather riding. The jacket will keep the warmth in, while exhausting out any perspiration. The construction is 600 denier which offers a softer feel but entirely blocks out the water. The 1680 Denier offers the abrasion resistance for the protective aspect, also incorporated CE approved body armor for protection. This jacket is a very effecient touring or adventure jacket.
