Comments about UNI Crankcase Breather Filter:
Alright, here's the 411 on how to size these things, I think.I called and asked online as to what size filter I would need for a hose with the I.D. of 1/2", I got two different answers, so I took a chance and ordered the filter with the black rubber connection. It's I.D. was 1/2" not it's outside Diameter as explained in another review. This being said, filters with the white connection outside diameter is 1/2". So if you are looking to get a bargain on mini universal filters, make sure you buy the right one for your prodject. Measurement of "white" end filters is outside diameter, "black" end filters measurement is inside diameter.
Bottom Line Yes, I would recommend this to a friend

Works great double check size
If you are removing original air box this is a must have. Sizing is tricky thanks to another review I managed to select the correct ((outside diameter)). I got the one with a tie wrap and mounting hole this made installation easy. Looks a lot like a K&N filter but not. Quality looks good. No instructions or mounting recommendations so here are mine. Mount away from your legs or shinny trinkets since there is a small amount of smoke the comes out when running at least on my bike. You may want to get a longer piece of hose. Make sure it is the correct material for application.
Sizing is unclear
By KZ Sam
This filter is of fine build quality and looks like it would do a better job than some of the cheaper crankcase filters out there. However, I wont get a chance to use it because of the unclear sizing on this website. I measured the diameter of the breather vent on my bike and used that as the diameter for the "clamp-on" type filter. Apparently their measurements are for the outer diameter of a clamp on filter... which makes no sense because the inner diameter on the filter is what has to match the outer diameter of the vent on the bike, the outer diameter makes no difference. The product is fine, but bikebandit needs to address this issue or other people are going to be wasting [$] just like I did. I guess there is a chance I was sent the wrong one because nowhere on the package does it say a size...?

Bought this to catch oil etc leaving the breather and to prevent anything from entering after I removed the stock airbox from my 79 GS850. It was a snap to install and the style matches the pod filters I replaced my airbox with. It would be nice if it were chrome and the same colour as my pods, but the red isn't too bad.How I chose the size and style: I wanted to push this into the end of the hose that ran from my breather to my airbox so I bought the "push in" style. (If I wanted to clamp it onto the breather nipple of my valve cover, I would have ordered the "clamp on" style). The lip on my airbox attachment was 1/2" and the I.D. of my breather hose was 7/16". I ordered the 1/2" filter. With a bit of encouragement, the filter pushed into the hose and sat snugly. Then I just tightened up the hose clamp and used the enclosed zip tie to snug it up to the airbox mounting tab.It probably took 10 minutes from the time I opened the package to the time I snugged up the zip tie AND I had to remove the gas tank bolt to get a little bit of finger room to work.
