Doesn't fit filter for a Suzuki SV650

Comments about Vector Enterprises 65/67mm Oil Filter Cup Wrench:

It's just too small - My fault for not checking the size but I couldn't find the size on the filters so I guessed, and got it wrong. Not worth returning it for the [$] it cost.Otherwise it looks OK quality for a tool that you won't use very often, it has a black painted finish which survived my attempts to force it onto a filter that was the wrong size. Professionals might want something more robust for everyday use but for the amateur it looks great.

Good Filter Wrench

Comments about Vector Enterprises 65/67mm Oil Filter Cup Wrench:

I love using this style of filter wrench, over the clumsy belt, or plier's style. I bought the dual size wrench because the 65mm was currently unavailable. It did its job well however, and I was pleased to add it to my collection. I'm not sure about the single sized wrenches, but this wrench is a little deeper and can be a bit large for small areas, as opposed to the OEM wrenches I have used. You can't beat the pricing though, and I would recommend this wrench to others.

Good Tool And Value

By JSteve

from Bakersfield, CA

Comments about Vector Enterprises 65/67mm Oil Filter Cup Wrench:

This tool is the best that I know of for removing oil filters in limited space locations. It was definitely worth the money for the ease of changing the 65mm filter on my CBR 600.

Be careful about the clearance

Comments about Vector Enterprises 65/67mm Oil Filter Cup Wrench:

The tool seemed to be of reasonable quality and fit the oil filter nicely. However I have a '97 blackbird and there is not enough clearance between the exhaust headers and the oil filter for the tool to fit. there is about a 1/2 inch rise between the ratchet and the top of the oil filter so there was no room for the ratchet once the tool was seated on the oil filter. But it's hard to blame the tool for Honda's decision to leave so little clearance. I ended up buying a large pair of channel locks to do the job, but it was certainly not the fault of the tool.

  • Q:

How many flutes (aka flats) does this wrench have? My stock 2008 cbr600rr filter has 12 flats. Most of these 65mm wrenches have 14 flats, so don't fit properly.
