Comments about Vortex Racing Components Lowering Kit:

This is a great product for anyone looking to drop a motorcycle; I installed it on my wife's GSXR 600. She loves the way it rides and that she can put her feet down when she stops. Easy to install, took about 15 minutes. However one thing I did not think about was the kick stand, so I cut is and welded the foot back on to the stand, now it is to light and does not sit on the stand sincere so it will cut out when riding, if you are looking at dropping a bike order the right kick stand and spring so that you will not have to do more cutting and welding.

Comments about Vortex Racing Components Lowering Kit:

The issue I had was during the installation. The original equipment had needle bearings that would not fit the Vortex lowering links and the instructions from Vortex were not clear. I called Vortex and they didn't know if the bearings should be used with the lowering links. I determined, on my own, that the lowering links have a solid brass type bearing and don't require the OE needle bearings. Hope I'm correct. I do like how they look and they lowered the bike nicely for my wife, I just wish someone knew how to install them.

I have an '03 gsxr 750 so the product was different than the picture like the site said it may be. This product is perfect, cheap, arrives quickly easy to install in about 30 min overall. Very pleased. Thank you bike bandit for having lower prices.

No this will be basically all you need to lower your machine.

Depending how how much you lower the bike, I highly recommend considering an adjustable kick stand. It's better to be safe than sick - when you see you bike was tipped over from a hard gust of wind.

Thanks for your question! You may lower your bike by shaving the seat or even getting a lower profile of tire.
