Reversed Polarity

Comments about Yuasa High Performance Maintenance Free Battery (YTX20HL-BS):
I purchase this battery because it was the same manufacture as OEM. The original battery has lasted 6 years with a lot of idle time. I increased from 14 cranking amps to the heavier duty 20 cranking amps. When the battery arrived I charged as directed and installed in machine, having to take out bottom tray and side bumpers. While installing, the leads touched the battery and there was a spark. At that time I noticed the positive and negative were reversed from the original battery. Luckily the main fuse protected my expensive electronics.This could have cost me several thousand dollars to replace the computer and not be able to go on the ride this weekend. Not a happy camper, now I have to remove several parts and switch the leads around. When it tells me the part will fit my machine, the last thing you expect is to have to rewire and replace fuses. Other than that I hope this Yuasa lasts as long as the original. Never assume.

Pre measured acid cylinders made this a no-brainer. A couple of hours charging and it was back on the road again!

Excellent Battery

This is a great battery, longest lasting Powersport battery ever used! I had one for 5 years, and just from sitting too long, and not being used enough, it gave out. Don't chimp out, definetly buy the High Performance Battery over the Standard. One thing else I love, the Acid Pack, premeasured for each individual cell. Easy to startup, charge, and your on your way in the same day!
