I have a lot of hair, so I had to buy a big helmet. I was attracted to this model hoping that it would put less pressure on the sides of my head. It fits well, although it's a little more comfortable without the leather ear flaps. They zip off easily so I can put them back on if I ever feel like it.

It has a removable visor, which snaps right on. It keeps the hot Texas sun out of my eyes, although it would be crazy not to wear some other sort of eye protection. We've got crane flies the size of half dollars this time of year.

Besides it being a little tight on the sides (mostly because my amount of hair), this is a nice helmet and allows me to be comfortable on hot days.

I commute sometimes, take rides for pleasure in the local winding mountain roads, occasional long trip, negotiate very busy freeways, all the usual not crazy stuff. I'm an EMT and like that a "half" helmet can be easily removed without torquing a broken neck after a wreck. "Don't ride any faster than your angel can fly!"
