Comments about Z1R Eclipse Shadow Modular Helmet:
This helmet is a decent value for the price, but has its limitations. It's very comfortable and stylish with great paint quality, but there are a few issues with this lid. First of all, it's a little heavy, much heavier than the Shoei RF-1000 I replaced it with (expected since it's modular). Secondly, it's very noisy at speed, so get your earplugs ready. Third, the visor mechanism is terrible, it's very notchy and takes two hands to use, so forget about opening the visor while moving. Forth, the opening mechanism to raise the chinbar isn't all that reliable. Mine broke after about a year's worth of everyday use and my friend had to help me pry the thing off my head! It's great for the weekend warrior who wants the convenience of a modular helmet and doesn't want to pay the eye-watering price for a Shoei or Nolan, but it won't hold up to the abuse of commuter riding.
Service and delivery comments:

Down sides: during the winter it lets alot of air in since it is so open around the chin. The visor sticks when your trying to open it but I think that'll change the more it gets used. Downside and upside: your ears aren't touching any of the foam so they aren't pressed up against your head, the downfall is since thier isn't alot of foam around them the helmet gets really noisy the faster you go, more than other helmets. Upside: The fact that it's a modular helmet is very nice. I don't have to wory about taking it off when I go into stores anymore. It's very light so its easy on the head. Its also a comfortable helmet to wear. I would also recomend a neoprene mask for the breeze around the chin.
Bottom Line Yes, I would recommend this to a friend
