the gel sounds nice

I've used these for two seasons now. The grips are easy to hold, non slip and does seem to eliminate more vibration than my previous grips.

These grips came in a variety of colors with an elite quality grip. They were moderately priced with a proven track record.

I have a 2002 Honda VFR. Will these grips fit for my application and are these the best to reduce vibration and cushion the grip for my bike?
Rick on Sep 27, 2012
BEST ANSWER: Thank you for your question. Yes these ProGrips 719 Grips will fit your bike. Yes these grips have a gel system to help reduce vibrations. Yes these grps are great for a comfortable ride, the Renthal ual compound grips have a good cushion aswell. Below is a link to the Renthal Grips:

I take it these come in a set of two?

BEST ANSWER: Thanks for your question.

This will be for a pair of gel grips.
Does the throttle grip have to be cut off and then the new grip glued on? I am thinking of putting them on an 09 Ninja 650R.
rj on Jun 12, 2010
BEST ANSWER: Thanks for your question! When ordering the ProGrip RVGS Open End Model 719 Gel Grips you would need to cut the grips off and then glue the new on that is correct.

Best Grip
After all the grips I've gone through in over 40+ years of riding...these are on all my street bikes. Comfortable, grippy, and fairly long lasting.

Best grips I've used
I love these grips, they are very comfortable and feel good in the hand. These are also my 2nd pair. Can't beat the quality for the price!

The only grip I'll use
Use this grip on both track and street bikes. Great for reducing vibration when bar weights aren't used (race clip-ons). Wish they'd last longer, but at the price, it's not that big of a deal.

Second time purchase
First off about the grips. They're very comfy and reduces vibration providing better feedback from the bars.

My story: I've had the stock grips for 22,889 miles(4/2012). I finally replaced them at 39,301(8/15). But I should of replaced it sooner since i got down to the 2nd layer and had no more gel on the throttle(left side).

I do get some resedue from the grip to my gloves so I recommend replacing once you start to get that.

Good grips for the price
I have the "Black" version. The grips have a nice squishy superficial texture, but feel pretty firm overall.
I just installed them, so I can't comment on durability.

Get a Grip
Grips installed perfectly. I used alcohol instead of soaping water as alcohol dried faster. Grips slid into place, had a minute to make adjustements and used a small screwdriver to open a gap at the end to wipe away the alcohol and let air in to dry.
Used a razor blade to trim the end of the right side.
Installation took all of about 10 minutes for both grips.
Feel good, less vibration than the old stock ones and look darn good to.

Love these, so much better than stock! My friend had these on his 99 cbr 900 and they were so much better than my 2007 gsxr stock grips. Just got them for my cbr 954 and I love them!
