Rotor's from Rick's
Problem with rotor, purchased one last year, had issue with the brush plate. The screws holding the plate onto the rotor came loose. Did get warranty. In the mean while ordered 2nd one so I could ride the bike. Wow doesn't the bike stop again no charging. Towed bike the second time, pulled the cover and found the same issue AGAIN. The screws came loose again! Had the warranty rotor checked it out the screws were covered the a coating just like the ones prior. This time used an screw extractor and removed the screws found no locking mechanism. Put new screws with locking devices and installed, still running. Took the second one apart did the same and re soldered coil wires back on plate, having the 3.8 ohms. Woow

poor quality control
I installed the rotor and took the bike on a 2 hr test drive. When I left the battery was charging, but when I got back the battery was almost dead. I found that the fingers on the outside half of the rotor had scrape marks and had rubbed against the stator causing it to go bad. The fingers on the inside half were clean. I measured the diameters of the two halves of the rotor and found the outside half was .025" larger than the inside half and .030 larger than the OEM rotor. I called Ricks Motorsports and sent pictures to show them their rotor was defective but they insisted the rubbing happened because the alternator cover was misaligned. Misalignment could not possibly put rub marks on alternating fingers of the rotor. After some discussion they said they would look at my rotor if I sent it in. After looking, they said that as a courtesy they would machine down the rotor because I asked them to. Got the rotor back and it is still about .005 larger than OEM, but it is not rubbing anymore. Also received a new stator, but Rick's did not admit to any error on their part. Rick's did take care of me, but I didn't like the hassle and I think they have poor quality control. If I ever buy another rotor from Rick's I will measure it before using it.

Works like a champ
I've used a lot of Rick's Motorsports charging components with no issue.
