I am in need of a voltage regulator for a 1985 Honda Nighthawk 700. I see that this may be compatible with this make/model but need to be certain that this is the correct fit for the bike. How could I tell other than just getting it by the yr/make/model? We purchased something else from you that didn't exactly fit to a T and they had to grind some of the part down to get it on the bike. Nothing major but it was annoying thinking it would be an exact fit. Please let me know as soon as possible so that if by chance this is compatible and will fit to the bike specifications then we would like to order asap. Thank you.

Installed on 91 CBR 1000, voltage was over 17v by 1500 RPM. Returned to BB for exchange. Same with 2nd unit. Contacted Electrosport, returned to them for testing. Was sent back claiming unit was good, and they are certain problem was in the bike. Installed with same result. Sent back for refund and replaced with RR from Rick's, worked perfectly. Dont waste your time trying to make work 0n 90-91 CBR's and I assume later models as well (same regulator).
