About Our Best Motorcycle Seat Pads (Universal)

If you’ve ever ridden your bike for an extended period, you know how important it is to have a comfortable seat pad. Hours of riding can become a major pain (literally) if you and your seat are not covered adequately. At Bike Bandit, we know that convenience and comfort are two things that all riders take seriously, and we are committed to bringing you the best options for seat pads that will help you enjoy your ride even more.

What is a Seat Pad (Universal)?

A motorcycle seat is something that is installed on the bike. If you want to adjust the seat, you have to either replace the entire thing or get a seat pad to add height and improve the amount of cushioning. A seat pad is something that can be added to your bike relatively easily.

Types of Seat Pads

For everyone’s convenience, seat pads come in three different varieties. The first is for the driver, then the passenger and then to cover the sissy bar. For those who aren’t acquainted with biker lingo, a sissy bar is an attachment to the back of the bike so a passenger can lean back during the ride. Most sissy bars are bare metal, so adding a universal seat pad can make the experience much better overall.

Driver’s Pads

For the most part, seat pads are usually designed with the driver in mind. These pads are shaped like a triangle so as to fit better on the seat itself. In some cases, the seat pad may elevate your body slightly, so it’s important to test it out before you make a decision.

Passenger Pads

Not all motorcycles are equipped with a passenger seat, so as a result, passenger seat pads may either fit onto a seat (if there is one) or be attached to the rear fender via suction cups. What you should keep in mind, however, is that some states require that a bike has a dedicated seat for passengers, so be sure that you aren’t breaking the law by suctioning a pad to your fender.

Sissy Bar Pads

If you want your fellow riders to have a comfortable experience, you will probably want to get a sissy bar pad. Name aside, having this will make your passenger like you a whole lot more, especially after long trips.

If you’re in the market for some universal seat pads, then check us out at Bikebandit.com. We have the best styles choose from, so don’t ride on a hard seat ever again!
