I didn't notice the difference until I took it back off and felt just how much air it was deflecting. Works great.

BEST ANSWER: Thank you for your question! Unfortunately we show the biggest hardware option on this would be 1". Please let us know if there is anything else we can assist you with by contacting us by phone at 888-339-3888. We are more than happy to help find a windshield for you.
does this windshield come with the mounting brackets or do i have to order those seperatly?? and if i do what is the part number?
Chiquita on Dec 7, 2010
BEST ANSWER: Thanks for your question! The Slipstreamer windshields will fit most models. Because they fit as many models as possible the hardware needed to mount the windshield will vary. From Slipstreamer this windshield will come with mounting to fit models with 7/8th inch handlebar mounting. If you model has 1 inch handlebars you will need the mounting found at the link below.

BEST ANSWER: Thanks for your question! This windshield will include the mounting for most models with 1 inch handlebars. For models with 7/8th inch handlebars an additional mounting kit will be required. For assistance with selecting the correct mounting option we suggest checking with our sales department directly. BEST ANSWER: Thanks for your question! The Slipstreamer Cobra Shield S-09 Windshield that you are looking at would work on your machine no problem.
This Cobra windshield is supposed to fit a Triumph Speedmaster which has 1" handlebars. Does it fit 1" w/o a bar kit?

The dimensions and clear quoted with your picture are not correct for the Cobra,

Enough to make a road trip bearable.
Installed on an 81 GS850. Wanted a minimalist shield. This is it. Some of the reviews noted it doesn't provide enough protection or wind relief. For me it was enough.
I was trying to avoid taking away from the looks of the bike. It does pretty well.
Like most aftermarket screens, the mounting leaves it kinda flimsy. What the maker calls, "flutter".
I mounted it to set on the headlight and also stuck some felt cushions between the headlight and the instrument bezel.
Bottom line, if you just want to take the brunt of wind off your chest and face, this is it.
Inserted felt pads where screen touches instrument panel.
Minimal look. Keeps from being over-bearing on the bike.

It wasn't quite finished from the factory
It's a real nice looking windshield but the holes needed to be drilled out because the tightening screws wouldn't fit inside. There were metal shavings inside the holes. So, I grabbed a drill bit that was smaller than the diameter of the T-screw and carefully drilled out the shavings that blocking the screw from entering the hole.

I would recommend the shield but make sure you check the dimensions of your bike before you order.
Was a very nice looking windshield although it was way to small scale to my bike

Great Windshield
The windshield makes a difference on freeway driving...more that I expected. It was easly to install and even quicker to adjust, as necessary.

The only setback would be that it tends to loosen the longer your ride, due to the vibration of my bike. Suggest you check your fasteners regularly for a secure fit.

Good looks and very functional
I put the S-09 on a 2005 Honda Rebel, it aided in getting my Rebel, nickname "Candie" up to 85 mph on the freeway in Tampa, Fl with minor wind resistance. At the right angle the wind by passes my chest and flow right over my helmet. I can wear an open face helmet and not have my tear ducts taking over my face.

This windscreen prevented a bad thing!
I have had this screen on my 83 Honda Nighthawk 450 for about three weeks. Tonight when I was riding home from work a large tractor trailer threw up a rock that was probably 2 inches in diameter. I was driving 35 mph about a half block behind the truck and this rock shot at me like a bullet. It hit the screen and broke it in half, but slowed the rock down enough so that when it hit me it only caused a slight bruise on my lower left chest area. If I hadn't installed this screen, that rock probably would have caused me to wreck my cycle. Ordering another one tonight for safety's sake. By the way, it looks great and doesn't detract from the look of the bike.

Excellent fit.
I bought this shield for a 1984 Honda Sabre VF1100S. The install was straight forward and seemless. It took about ten minutes with a few minutes after the initial ride to dial things in and tighten up the bolts. The flat section on the bottom mates well with that big ugly square headlight. The shield keeps the wind off of my chest and throat allowing me to relax a bit on the freeway and I no longer feel I am being blown off the back of the bike at 80 MPH. I will buy a larger shield before I do my Iron Butt next year but for now on rdes up to 150 miles I think it is just right.

Not so great
This windshield is small, and doesn't do alot. Also the 2 point mount is not very solid, it vibrates and requires that it rest on your headlight so eventually it may leave marks. It does deflect some wind and a few bugs, but adds tubulance for me.
