Does this product extend up to or beyond the hand grips? Does it protect the riders hands from wind? My bike is a stock handlebar set from a 2001 Honda VT1100C.
JFaz525 on Jan 30, 2013
BEST ANSWER: Thank you for your question! This would extend up to or beyond the hand grips on the machine. The windshield is shaped so that it would cover your hand grips from any wind. Please let us know if there is anything else we can assist you with.

Good windshield, missing parts
I like this windshield because of it's lower profile. When it arrived it was missing 2 bolts that held the windshield on. I called sliptream, and they sent me 2 free of charge.

Looks good but....
The windshield looks pretty good once I got it on the bike, but the thing is a beast to get on. The lower clamps have a strange 2 part adjustable design and the upper clamps/windshield rods have multiple parts.
Seems sturdy once u get it on though.

What a great looking windshield
This was my first windshield install. Although the instructions weren't that clear, it only took me an hour. Pretty easy.

I was disappointed that it wasn't taller, however it could be just right. Being December in Indiana, I haven't ridden it. It's supposed to fit round or rectangular headlights. I can see where it would fit round ones better than my rectangular one.

Being that my bike, a Honda V30 is older (1984), I was concerned that I wouldn't be able to find a windshield to fit. Bike Bandit said it would, and it does! It looks great, and I can't wait to try it out. This is the only reason I gave it a 4--I haven't had a chance to try it.

not too good for tall people...
Good product, looks great, easy mounting, deflects the wind very well, only problem is that it is too short, if you are 5'11" or taller, you get the wind right in your face...it should be two to three inches taller. I am going to add my own plexi-glass to it, to make it perfect. My bike is a 1982 Yamaha Maxim 750, ~~maybe this isn't or won't be a factor on your bike...it is a good product.

Unknown verdict
First Bike (1982 Yamaha 650) and First Windshield. - I had a bit of trouble getting the angle set right on my windshield. At first I was just getting blasted by the wind coming over the top. It still needs a little straighter angle and I'm not sure if I can get any more angle on it. The slipstream doesn't quite get over my head so it's right in the roof of my helmet. I'm 5'9" and if I hunch over it's beautiful but not comfortable. Can't say that this isn't my fault yet and I'll do some more adjusting but the instructions were not much help with anything beyond getting it connected to my bike. As a rookie I could use a little more advice from the windshield instructions.
