I installed cobra dragsters, a powrflo intake, remapped the ECU, installed a commander 5, and plugged the hose that sends air to the exhaust from the top. However, my Vulcan 900 is still back firing when I release the throttle. Does anyone have any other suggestions to fix the back firing?
alex g on Jan 2, 2019
BEST ANSWER: Hi Alex, you could also have an air leak on your intake system. Double check your air filter, it must be set and sealed correctly as well as the o-ring seals on the throttle bodies. Did you replace the head pipe gasket when you installed the new exhaust system? Reusing these gaskets could also cause popping due to an air leak. Check those things out and let us know what happens.
Are the baffles removable.
joker648 on Jun 30, 2010
BEST ANSWER: Yes these are removable buffles, you can get quiet buffles for these pipes. They are not all that much quieter
Does the carbs have to be rejetted for these drag pipes was just wondering i was told by some people yes and others no they don't
Budman on Mar 31, 2013
BEST ANSWER: Thank you for your question! To get the full potential our of the machine with the pipes on there you will want to jet the carb. Also this will help with fuel consumption and give you the correct fuel/air mixture which will help the machine start and run correctly. In some cases you can get away with no jetting the carb but usually the machine does not run as well as it should and can also cause starting issues.
Do you have a sound viedo so I can hear what they sound like on my kawasaki 900 classic ?
Ken on Jul 23, 2012
BEST ANSWER: Thanks for the question. we do not have a sound file for you. Might try Cobra direct.
during dexceleration there is a snap cracle pop do i need to install any other parts.
Mike on May 20, 2011
BEST ANSWER: Thanks for your question. You may need to have your carburetors re-jetted for the pipes. If you bike is fuel injected we recommend to purchase a fuel injection controller for optimum fuel/air mixture. If you have any further questions please contact our sales team at 888-339-3888 or 619-623-3661.
can these pipes be used on a 1300 tourer with running boards 2007
woodcuter on Mar 2, 2011
BEST ANSWER: Thanks for your question! We do not show the manufacturer showing any installation notes for this model machine. From the information provided the running boards should mount with the exhaust just fine.
Does Cobra Dragster exhaust require re-mapping of fuel injection??

on my VN 900 Classic?
rtomas on Sep 3, 2009
BEST ANSWER: Thanks for your question! When you order any exhaust from BikeBandit we would always suggest to get a fuel injection controller as well that way you can remap your fuel / air mixture. Please contact our sales team for pricing on these units.

Great sounding pipes. Easy install.
Very easy install, even for the non-mechanically inclined like myself. The sound is great compared to the stock pipes.
