Great value
This kit was purchased to adjust the valve's on a 1999 Kawasaki ZRX1100. It worked perfectly. It even came with a magnifier lens for these old eyes to read the shim numbers. I recommend this kit.

Good value, but Sizes inconsistent.
This kit was definitely a better value than buying shims at the dealer. A nice foam sheet fits under the lid and keeps all the shims from mixing up (like some reviewers had). However when I measured them using a micrometer, the thickness of some of the shims was inconsistent. I only tried to use the 1.65, 1.70, and 1.75 shims. Two of the 1.65s measured 1.67mm and the 1.75s were more like 1.73. They were stamped with the number they were supposed to have so they weren't just put in the wrong spot. Not a huge deal, I was still able to get the valves on my first gen sv650 in spec though I'll be taking it apart to check it sooner than I'd like. Overall good value for a diyer who has the perspicacity to adjust their own tappets.

Got the right shim the first time!
This shim kit comes with a large array of shims. The size is etched on the shim for easy reading and it shouldn't wear off easy. The kit included a magnifying glass also. For those of us that are vision impaired.
It would be nice if the kits had different diameter shims to fit different manufactures engines. As it is we have to by a different kit for each brand of engine. Not Hot Cams fault If they made a kit to cover every engine brand, it would be expensive.

Great product
I needed some shims for a 95 Ninja. 6 shims from the factory were just as expensive as the hot cams kit. It comes with all the shims you could ever need, in a nicely organized container that locks so there is no need to worry about it coming open and making a mess. There are 3 shims for each size. Fit perfectly in the motor and have not bad a problem with them yet. It was nice to have the kit because some of my math was off. Instead of needing to order and wait for another shim I just picked it out of the kit, and in the long run I saved a ton of money!!!!
