While making a turn at an intersection from a gravel a road- to an asphalt road- the bike slipped from under me (Night Dragon tires, but not the tires fault)- any way there was no damage- I remained standing up- but had a hell of a time picking the bike up, it was in a very desolate area- it was my first drop- should it ever happen again, I'll be better equipped on my Honda Stateline VT1300.

Excellent Product.
These highway bars are excellent. Fairly easy to install. Very easy if you have another person to help hold them. I installed them with my wife's help in like 15 minutes. I am very glad I went with the Fatty 1 1/2 bars over any 1 1/4 bars. They look very good on my VTX 1300S. I love the large retro look. I feel like the smaller bars would just look weak. A lot of people say they are too low (even below the floorboards) and scrape too easily. I personally do not take corners sharp and have only ever scraped my floorboards one time so I do not have an issue with that. If you are someone who accelerates and leans far into corners than yes, these will probably come close to scraping and you should probably go another route. I have not purchased highway pegs yet but my understanding is you are limited because of the thicker bars but there are still parts out there so I would not let that be the deciding factor. Just to clarify, I have a 2004 Honda VTX 1300S and with my riding style, I do not come close to scraping. I would definately recommend these bars to anyone with a "non sport bike/ non aggressive" riding style and to anyone looking for that classic look. You will not be disappointed.

Perfect!
I don't really want to share, but reviews have helped me a lot. :-) OK, these things look great on my Yamaha Midnight Star (1600)! I couldn't imagine a better look. The extra width ties into the aftermarket pipes and cruiser bars. It's a clean, mean look. On top of that, they are made in the USA - time to get back to that!

BikeBandit was great! I really appreciate it.

Only problem was that someone use the high strength loctite on one of the 4 allen-head bolts for the floorboards. My mechanic (saint) had to save the day. Otherwise it's an easy (30 min) install - a friend is helpful just to hold it up while securing at the start. Back brake spring does rest on them since the boards get pushed out about 1/4 inch.
