Need carb for 1975 Honda xl250 k2. Which one do I by from you ?
ross w on May 22, 2018
BEST ANSWER: Hello Ross, you can definitely make this carb work, you'd need to measure the bore and spigot to make sure you can mount it on your XL250, but since it is a universal carb it will take some modifying to get it working right. To begin with, I can tell you it will need a different throttle cable, most likely a custom cable. You'll also need to re-jet the carb to work properly with your bike. Ross give us a call at 1-888-339-3888 and we can let you know what you need to get this carb going, or even recommend another carb. Thank you for shopping with BikeBandit.com and we hope to hear form you soon.
I'm looking for a replacement carb for a 1977 Suzuki TC185. I cannot tell by the pictures the difference between models (flange VS standard mounts).

It would appear this is it (22mm - Flange Mount) but can someone please confirm before I place my order? I thought it was a 26mm, but that is only available in a standard mount which appears to be round and will not work for my bike.

Here is a link to the OEM carb: http://www.bikebandit.com/1977-suzuki-tc185b/o/m6735#sch257096

We are not able to confirm if this would work on your machine since they are a universal type and may or may not work for you. They are jettable carbs , We are not sure if the factory cable would work you may have to make a new custom cable to accept the carb.

I’m trying to replace my mikuni carburetor for my 1983 Yamaha yt125 Tri Moto. It’s a 20mm round slide carburetor. Do you have that?
Kyle K on Aug 4, 2019
BEST ANSWER: Kyle, thank you for the question. The Mikuni carb that you attached to this question looks very similar to the carb on the OEM diagram that we have in our records for that specific machine. You can select the bore size and spigot mount size. Does it look different to the current 20MM round slide that you have? If so, give us a call at 1-888-339-3888 for some possible alternatives.

First, is this a genuine Mikuni carburetor?

Second can this carburetor be used on a 2005 Kawasaki KLX 125? If so what size are model should I order?
Brian W on Jun 18, 2019
BEST ANSWER: Brian, thank you for the question. This is a genuine Mikuni carburetor. Unfortunately, we are not provided with carburetor specifications from our OE and aftermarket distributors. I would recommend taking off your current carb to help with identifying what kind of carb you need first (flat slide, round slide, etc.) and then taking some measurements of the bore size and spigot mount. That is really the only way to identify if this will work on your Kawi. Please let us know if there is anything else we can do for you by contacting us by email at [email protected], Live Chat or by phone toll-free at 1-888-339-3888. what is the difference between a 2 stroke carb and a 4 stroke carb?
Robert M on May 19, 2019
BEST ANSWER: Hello Robert, 2 stroke and 4 stroke engines are very different types of engines creating different types of power. With that being said each type of engine creates different types of pressure and vacuum. A 2 stroke carb was designed for a 2 stroke engine like a 4 stroke carb is designed for a 4 stroke engine. We recommend using a 2 stroke carb for a 2 stroke engine or a 4 stroke carb for a 4 stroke engine. Good to find..
This carburetor was a big help restoring a 1985 125 KX. The floats are no longer sold and this carb had the exact type to transfer over to the stock system. I used the float valve and bowel screws also..

The outlet side was a perfect match but the inlet side was to big for the air box.. Other than that it was worth it just to get the floats..
