Have a 2001 ZRX1200. Will this kit cover all the carbs? About how much of a HP gain will I get and whats a round about guess of the change in gas mileage? Do the instructions that come with it specifically cover my bike or is it just a general guide?
P.J. on Sep 1, 2010
BEST ANSWER: Thanks for your question! This will cover ALL carbs. The manufacturer does not list HP gains, you may want to check with DynoJet for that. Before attempting to instal on your own we suggest purchasing a service manual for your model.

Will this work on a 97 Magna 750?

I'm having a missing problem in the 4000-6000 rpm range. One of the exhaust pipes has a yellowing color. I've repaced the plugs and the wires, the mileage went WAY up but the miss is still there. The bike has 10,000 miles on it, do I need to rebuild the carbs or is the jet kit enough?
rdrimes on Oct 3, 2009
BEST ANSWER: Thanks for your question! As long as you order Item: 53973 from our parts here for this kit this would cover all carbs on your machine no problem, this also comes with all instructions.

Good kit but why so many extras
This product appears to be great so far. It comes in a nice small plastic case with lots of extras including extra springs and main jets. The small set of instructions are not bad aside from them being a very dark photocopy of an original which makes the photos hard to decifer although the instructions make up for it. The only thing I can't figure out is why they provide 4 sets of main jets as the instructions only give you directions for using 2 of them depending on whether you have the original exhaust or an after market. All in all a nice compact product with alright info.

Requires some Fiddlin' to tune it right.
Installed to cure fuel starvation at highway speed. Jet is smaller than OEM jet but slimmer needles. A flat spot in acceleration developed when kit installed as instructed. Some trial and error adjusting required to get the acceleration curve right. Since troubleshooting guide says flat spot can be from rich or lean condition, took several tries to get it right. I'm happy now.

Besides the jet kit I also installed an after market silencer and opened up the air box. Performance was improved, just don't expect anything earth shattering.

97 HONDA MAGNA 750 RUNS ALOT BETTER. FACTORY IS ON THE LEAN SIDE, AFTERMARKET PIPES AND K&N FILTER WILL LEAN IT OUT TOO FAR. JET KIT PUT IT BACK TO WHERE IT NEEDS TO BE.

Bad Choice...
I purchased this kit because I have a 1996 Dr650Se and there was not another kit available because of my bike's age. I installed it as directed and had to spend a long time playing with it as it would choke out at 1/4 throttle. Even if it would have worked perfectly, the power boost would not have displaced the fact that I lost 15 miles PER GALLON of gas. So instead of 47-49 mpg, I am now getting 33-35. This is not worth the moderate increase in power at all and I lost 15-20 miles off my top end as well. I am definitely going back to my stock kit...
