Hi

I'm building a hybrid post classic racebike which runs a 530 chain. I need a 43 and a 45 tooth rear sprocket (which can run a 530 chain) to fit a 2002 Kawasaki zx6r rear wheel.
The bike is powered by a 1989 CBR600 with 16 tooth engine sprocket. Alternatively can I change that sprocket to take a 520?

Many thanks and good luck answering this

BEST ANSWER: Thank you for your question. JT does not offer a 520 conversion for the CBR600F 87-90. Although the part number is the same between the F2/F3 and the Hurricane 600.The F2/F3 models do have a 520 conversion. Yes the ZX6R also offers a 520 conversion.
What size chain does the sprockets 37170 and 37172 fit? I'm after sprockets for 530 chain
Scooter on Aug 22, 2012

Mick on Jul 20, 2012
BEST ANSWER: Thanks for the question! The JT sprockets are sold individually.
does it make a difference if I put a 520 pitch o-ring chain on this sprocket vs. a 530 that originally came on the bike.
Paul on Jun 11, 2012
BEST ANSWER: Thanks for your question! If you change the pitch of your chain, you will need to get new sprockets as well to accomodate the pitch change.

Works great! I put this on a 1986 Suzuki 185 quadrunner. I had a 12 tooth on it, and put the jt 13 tooth on the front. I didn’t need to change the chain size. But needed to do a little grinding for clearance issues. Nothing big. In about an hour, I was up and riding again.

slipped right on
I replaced my original front sprocket with this one, which has one more tooth. I replaced the rear sprocket at the same time, one tooth fewer. The goal is to gain some top end performance. This replacement part bears the same marking as the original. It slid into place like it was supposed to be there. Time will tell the story of wear.
