I recently aquired a 1982 Honda XL80S. OEM sprockets are 15-37, I intend to replace the front (15) with this product and the rear (37) with a 36 tooth sunstar sprocket #100293. Can you recommend a chain?
Joe on Oct 8, 2012
BEST ANSWER: Thank you for your question. Yes,a company called RK makes excellent chains. The GB 420 MXZ chain has a high tensile strength, which means less streching and less adjustments. Perfect for torquey 4 stroke engine powered dirt bikes. Average tensile strength is 5,000 lbs. per square inch. Below is a link to the RK chain:

The factory spec for the 1982 Honda XL80S is 420 chain x 96 links
What size chain is recommended for this sprocket?

What is the stock sprockets for a 2002 Honda XR80. I am thinking of getting sprockets to try and make the bike have a bit more power and speed to it. What would be the best choice?
null on Jun 17, 2011
BEST ANSWER: Thanks for your question! 14-46 is the stock gearing on the honda XR-80
What does the OEM gearing stand for. I see that it is different for different models. I have a 2004 wr450 with a stock 14 tooth front sproket. I want to replace it with a 14 tooth.
null on Jun 5, 2011
BEST ANSWER: Thanks for your question! OEM is Original Equipment Manufacture. OEM is the same as stock. Your bike came with the 14 tooth in front. If you are looking to replace the sprocket, it will be the 14 tooth.
how many teeth is there on a standerd front sprocket of a zx12r 2002 model
Adelitt on Aug 7, 2009
BEST ANSWER: That would come stock with a 18 tooth front sprocket and a 46 tooth rear sprocket.

Very well built and effective drive sprocket. I expect it will last even in the sand of Michigan.

Good sprocket
Only gave it a 4 out of 5 because I have not used it yet. Seems consistent quality to other sprockets I've had in the past , light weight and does the job. I cannot attest on its longevity yet

Great upgrade
Four stars only because it fit differently than OEM. Once on it lines up nicely though.

14T sprocket - best for mountain trails
From the factory, the bike will go about 80 MPH. I ride mountain trails with my son who rides an 80. This sprocket allows me to let out the clutch all the way while rolling at a walking pace - trail pace. I also needed more low end power for slowly climbling slippery rocky areas. The factory sprocket is 15 teeth. I was able to swap this sprocket out and adjust the chain in just a few minutes. The 14 tooth sprocket geared me down and also gave me more power. This makes the front wheel come off the ground easier. The low cost makes me want to try a 13 tooth sprocket just to see the difference.
