Many of the seal kits come with dust seals , which are great if yours are in bad shape . I will be fine just replacing my fork seals at this time and saving a few dollars by not buying dust seals .

BEST ANSWER: Thanks for your question! These are sold in pairs so you only need to order one for both forks.
1) I am replacing the seals in both forks on a 1994 Yamaha Virago XV1100, do i need to purchase two sets? 2) Your Q&A says, "Yes this will come with the dust seals & oil seals," but the Product Detail says, "Dust wiper seals sold separately." Do I need to buy these separately? 3) The seals were last replaced in 2003, should I also replace the snap ring and/or the oil seal washer? 4)I am not sure if it is a XV1100F or FC (California model), how do I find this? Thanks
Darren on Aug 14, 2011
BEST ANSWER: Thanks for your question! BikeMaster only offers the dut seals with select models. For your model Yamaha you would only receive the oil seals. Usually the washer and snap ring do not need to be replaced unless they show signs of damage. As far as your model ID the California designation will only apply to emmissions related items. The fork seals will be the same for both models.

I have a 1985 ltd shaft drive street bike. The front forks are leaking oil. What other parts do I need to repair front forks. Also the gas guage does not work. Can you direct me to the part that I would need. I believe it is the sending unit in the gas tank. I will wait to hear from you before placing order.

Thank You
Ronald Delaney

While I can't speak for the quality, I do know that it does not fit my machine even though the site says otherwise. They are too big.
